We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Personal Information. As part of this commitment, our privacy policy governs our actions as they relate to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.

1. Information We Collect

When you register as a user on our site, as part of the registration process, we collect the following:

  • Your first name
  • Your last name
  • Your e-mail address

We collect this information for the following reasons:

  • To uniquely identify you from other users
  • To provide you with a richer user experience
  • To provide you with notifications when various application and user generated events occur
  • To create a customer account record in our payment processor's system

2. Information Collected By Our Payment Processor

When you make a purchase through our web application, our payment processor will collect your financial account information (credit card, debit card, etc.). We do not store your financial account information, but our payment processor will store your financial account information in order to facilitate the completion of your purchase.

Our payment processor has their own privacy policy (available here). We recommend that you read their privacy policy so you can understand how your personal information will be handled by them.

3. Data We Access

When you "Import" a file from Google DriveTM or DropboxTM, we download the file to our application environment, encrypt it, and store it for processing during a document signing transaction. We do this to provide our electronic signature service to you. Once stored in our environment, your files are only accessed by our application to provide our electronic signature service to you. Your files are deleted from our application environment three (3) months after they are last used in a document signing transaction.

4. How Do You Obtain My Consent?

When you register as a user on our site, as part of the registration process, GoogleTM or DropboxTM will display an authorization page which asks you to give our web application permission to read your GoogleTM or DropboxTM user profile and access (read only) your files stored in Google DriveTM or DropboxTM. Granting our web application the permission to read your GoogleTM or DropboxTM user profile and access (read only) your files implies you are consenting to allow us to collect the personal information and access the data listed above. Please note that the personal information listed above is required to use our web application. If you are not willing to grant our web application permission to collect the personal information above, you cannot use our web application. Furthermore, if you are not willing to grant our web application permission to access (read only) the files stored in Google DriveTM or DropboxTM, you cannot use our web application.

5. How Do I Withdraw My Consent?

DropboxTM Users

  1. Visit your account's "Connected apps" settings here
  2. Under "View Dropbox content", click "KloudSigning"
  3. Click the "Disconnect" button
  4. Follow the prompts

GoogleTM Users

  1. Visit your account's "Security" settings here
  2. Under "Signing in to other sites", click "Signing in with Google"
  3. Under "Third-party apps with account access", click "KloudSigning"
  4. Click the "Remove Access" button
  5. Follow the prompts

Please note that if you follow the steps above, you will not be able to use the KloudSigning web application until you re-authorize KloudSigning to access your personal information. This can be done easily by signing into the KloudSigning web application and going through the authorization process again.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing, legitimate business need to do so. Legitimate business needs include, but are not limited to the following:

  • To provide you with the electronic signature service you have requested
  • To comply with applicable law
  • For tax purposes
  • For accounting purposes

When your data is no longer needed for legitimate business purposes, we delete it or, when deletion is not possible, anonymize it.

7. Information We Share

KloudSigning does not share or sell your personal information. Your personal information is only shared under two circumstances:

  1. We are required to do so by law or order.
  2. We are given written consent to do so by you.

8. Security

KloudSigning is committed to protecting your personal information and your files. To do so, we use various security technologies and measures designed to prevent the unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your information and files. While we make every effort to protect your data, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, use, or disclosure will never occur.

9. Age of Consent

By using the KloudSigning web application, you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years old.

10. Other Websites

The KloudSigning website may contain links to other websites that are not governed by this privacy policy. Our privacy policy does not apply after you leave our website. In addition, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of third party websites. We suggest that you read the privacy statements of those websites to learn how your information may be collected, used, shared and disclosed.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the KloudSigning site. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify active users via e-mail.
