Signing CA Certificate Import Guide

This guide can be used to import the certificate of our Signing CA into Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

  1. If not currently installed on your computer, download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
  2. Download our Signing CA certificate file by clicking here. Remember where you have saved the file.
  3. Run Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
  4. In the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC menu bar, click "Edit" and choose "Preferences..."
  5. Click "Signatures" in the list of Categories on the "Preferences" dialog.
  6. In the "Identities & Trusted Certificates" section, click the "More..." button.
  7. Click "Trusted Certificates" in the tray on the left-hand side of the "Digital ID and Trusted Certificate Settings" dialog.
  8. Click the "Import" button that appears in the main panel of the dialog.
  9. In the "Contacts" section of the "Choose Contacts to Import" dialog, click the "Browse..." button.
  10. Locate the .cer file you downloaded in Step 2 and click the "Open" button.
  11. In the "Contacts" table, click the "KloudSigning Signing CA" entry.
  12. In the "Certificates" table below, click the "KloudSigning Signing CA" entry.
  13. Click the "Trust..." button to the right of the "Certificates" table.
  14. In the "Import Contact Settings" dialog, check the "Use this certificate as a trusted root" and "Certified documents" checkboxes.
  15. Click the "OK" button.
  16. Back on the "Choose Contacts to Import" dialog, click the "Details..." button.
  17. In the "Certificate Viewer" dialog, click the "Details" tab.
  18. In the "Certificate data" table, scroll to the bottom and look for the "MD5 digest" entry.
  19. Click the "MD5 digest" entry.
  20. Verify that the value in the text area equals the following value: 1A B6 D5 4E D5 50 19 D2 32 72 AC 41 73 B9 2C 0E. If the values do not match, do not continue importing the certificate and contact our support at support@kloudsigning.com
  21. Click the "OK" button to close the "Certificate Viewer" dialog.
  22. On the "Choose Contacts to Import" dialog, click the "Import" button to complete the certificate import.

Close any dialogs that are still open.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC should now be able to validate the digital signatures created by our service.
